Sensory Awareness has emerged front and center, bottom to top, inside and outside, from early training as a dancer and actor, and as a sensitive individual guided by connection with the elements, nature, beauty and sensory explorations. It is the practice I return to as a foundation that has the capacity to hold all other study and practice.
What begins as a gross and literal understanding, palpable and reassuring in its concrete nature, eventually evolves into a deep, subtle, and causal understanding of the fabric of life as an art form. This deepens beyond the way we typically measure success. The transformation enriches our capacity to discover the inner gold and sovereignty of living.
I draw from profound human experience, what concerns the heart’s quest for love and connection, overcoming loss, trauma, and healing. In my work I aim for authentic presence and emergence to allow the poems, dances, stories, catharsis, transformation, and transcendence to unfold. I’m inspired by beauty and nature where wonder and awe are in a flow that emanates as living process
“When a child asks for flowers,
she has beauty in her heart.”
The street vendor handed me the flowers even though my mother could not afford to pay for them.

I live inspired by beauty found everywhere. Color. Shape. Form. Light. Composition. Music. Dance. Poetry. My heart responds in nature. Sunrise. Sunset. Night Sky. Stars and constellations. Planets. In awe of the mystery of the cosmos. I love arriving at the numinous, ineffable presence. I marvel at the ocean. Revel in weather, all sorts, especially thunderstorms’ electric sound and energy.
I delve into the mysterious unconscious, the mandalas and alchemy in Jungian studies attempting to unlock the mysterious within human being.
My passion, appreciation, intuition enliven in the presence of connection within myself, with others, especially to know and feel the boundlessness of love.
The wind in the leaves, the spray of the waves, the twinkle in the eye, the smell of a peach, the well plated, delicious meal. The impermanent majesty of life itself.

Leading sensory experiments is a lively art, deep and spontaneous, personal. The power of sensory exploration when shared in community with group play, alive, interactive in person, and even or Zoom, reveals wonder as it is happening. This practice is preliminary, a base upon which other creative expression emerges.
Living as in art-making is a deeply intimate, visceral connection. My intention is for others to know and feel this deep intimacy in their own body-heart-mind, to elevate through immersion in the ordinary, embody and settle in deep well-being. Improvising movement, sound, and poetry springs out of experience in nature’s internal process connecting the inside with the outside, and the outside with the inside.
Movement & (e)Motion. Poetry. Color & Light & Composition. Interactive, Live Theater. Open Mic. Performance Art. Happenings. Video. Photography. Drawings. Memoir. Storytelling. Extemporaneous Monologue & Dharma Discussion. The Salon. Gatherings. Dinners & Potluck Picnics. Art & Dharma. Limitless possibilities for creative expression.
I embrace the everyday "art and science" of being as a common denominator in order to remember to investigate ABC: Align, Breathe, and Connect, which slows down activity for ease and well-being. This balance in real time in relationship with body-mind-heart allows the innate body intelligence to be in the conversation offering its wisdom, contributing to the cognitive process.
The elements compose and are part of the experience, literally expressed. My Dharma practices inform the wholesome intention for the work from various traditions: Theravada Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Kashmir Shaivism, Advaita Vedenta, Insight Dialogue, all contribute to facilitating community group interaction and dynamic communication.
At the very start the apple cart turned over. My daddy died, my mother widowed. I was five months old, she 22 years old. "Mom, get us a Daddy." My ongoing wish! Dream! Command! I was 8 1/2 when Mom married Ron. We adopted each other. Mommy, Daddy and Me, started over together, the three of us. That's how I got to be the Maiden-in-Waiting at my parents' wedding.
